The internet is filled with incredible educational content, but if you want to learn about a new topic it can often be hard to navigate that content. This is where oED can help.

The core of oED is the tree

Each node in the tree represents a concept that can be learned.

Some concepts can only be understood if other concepts have been understood first and this dependency relationship is visualised with the links in the tree.

Each node has two main parts: lessons and tests.

Lessons are links to any kind of content (video, book, game, etc) that explains the concept and can be added by anyone.

Tests will ask questions to see how well you understand the concept and can only be added by experts.

If you pass the test the node changes colour. This gives learning real skills the appearance of levelling up a skill tree in a computer game.
